She was spotted by a talent agency who was impressed by her talents and convinced her to pursue a career in the field of entertainment. After much consideration the decision was made to leave the school to join the entertainment industry. In the movie Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror she debuted and disappointed herself with her performance. To show her skills she appeared in a variety of low-budget films to improve her acting. The perseverance and determination resulted in a successful outcome. After the success of Training Day, her career as an actor took off.
