Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st October 1995, in Berkeley, California, USA. She is an actress from America who has appeared in Choices (2010) and The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).

Asia Argento is an Italian actress and film maker born into the largest familia. She has worked in both fields. The Church, directed by Michele Soavi, was her first film role. In the following year, she appeared as Nanni Moretti's daughter in Red Wood Pigeon It was when she starred in Close Friends written and directed by Michele Placido, that Asia's career really took off and she could move on from playing very young girls, to larger, more sophisticated characters. The movie was well-received at the Cannes International Film Festival. In Trauma she worked for the first time with her father, the renowned Italian filmmaker of horror Dario Argento her mother is one of the most beloved actresses by Argento, Daria Nicolodi, playing an anorexic girl in search of her parents' killer. Asia played a role in Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she directed together with her father. Two of them were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. In 1993, Asia starred as Arianna a disabled child in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di vista. It was a complex and challenging role, that she was awarded an award of David di Donatello. In 1995, she collaborated along with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte Compagna di viaggio in which she was awarded the title of David di Donatello. Asia started directing short films in 1994. In addition, she directed an episode for the movie De Generazione. 1996 saw her make a documentary along with her father. 1998 she directed AbelAsia about the famous filmmaker Abel Ferrara. This film received a prize from the Rome Film Festival. Asia's first feature-length film directed by her was Scarlet Diva, in which she played the lead actress, and also wrote the screenplay. The film premiered in May 2000 across Italy as well as around the world. The Williamsburg Festival of Film in Brooklyn, New York awarded the film with a prize.
