Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently competes with the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC friend of hers is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out with her debut as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008, and a gold medal gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia began her professional career in 2003 and took home her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut took place in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious via TKO during the 2nd round and was able to take home two subsequent bouts and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko had a brief break from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 when she fought Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa in an unanimous decision. She then went on to beat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She left in 2018 the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her strike skills in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract following this win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko lost to Roxanne modafferi in a split decision, after winning her debut fight. Antonina bounced back from losing to defeat Lucie Pudilova by choking her back in a rear-naked submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
